Ironvale Legacy
Ironvale Legacy is the rare mobile RPG that respects your time without dumbing itself down. You build a party of four, dig through a slow-burn story about a collapsing border kingdom, and fight turn-based battles where positioning actually matters. Enemies punish lazy front-line choices, so you learn to think before you tap.
The progression is generous but not mindless. Skill trees branch in ways that let you rebuild a character halfway through without starting over, and gear has enough personality that you care about drops. We spent way too long comparing two nearly identical swords.
It isn't perfect. The early chapters drag, and the interface hides a few useful screens behind too many menus. Push past the first couple of hours, though, and it becomes one of the best mobile role-playing experiences we've reviewed this year.
What we liked
- Meaningful turn-based positioning
- Flexible respec-friendly builds
- Story worth reading
