Phone or tablet for strategy games?
We get this question a lot, so we ran both. The short version: fast tower defence is fine on a phone, but heavy base-building strategy genuinely plays better on a tablet.
The reason is fingers. Precise tower placement and unit selection need room, and on a small screen your thumb covers the exact tile you're trying to read. On a tablet you can actually see what you're doing during a busy wave.
There's a battery and heat cost, though. A couple of our test games warmed up phones noticeably during long matches, which is worth knowing if you play on commutes.
If you only own a phone, don't worry. Just lean toward games with generous UI scaling, and turn off unnecessary visual effects to keep your view clean.
